Prototyping
Hey everyone! We're back with another one of our weekly dev logs.
Now that the team has finalized game design ideas, we were able to create a very rough playable prototype that showcases the game's main mechanics. We'll share this prototype with you here so you can get an idea of where the game is headed. Keep in mind that this prototype does not include all the gameplay elements that we've got planned, but serves as an example that the team can build around.
On the art side of things, we've been testing out some iterative character designs. The challenge has been to simplify and stylize Myrrha so she looks good from our camera angle. For now we are iterating on her clothing and shape language, to make sure she looks super cute and ready to save those lilies from drowning!
For the next week we'll begin creating the proper game from scratch as opposed to the templates we're using now. We intend to have at least the movement functionality done by then. We are also excited to get a more finalized version of Myrrha ready and to test out some cell shaders for our procedural texturing!
Thanks for tuning in, and see you next week!
